Credentials & Career Recognitions

Doctor of Alternative Medicine and a Bio-Medical Scientist, involve in the research and development of water-based treatments and plant-based supplements.  Currently engaged in research, teaching, training, and treating with water and herbs mainly for chronic disease management and rehabilitation for elderly & children with birth defects. Current interest and research activities include developing formulas with vegetables, fruits, flowers, nuts, seeds based natural nutritional supplementation.  Her R&D ability and Natural Science expertise are vital for product development.

She received her undergraduate degree in Bio Sciences from Sri Lanka and went on to complete her postgraduate degree in BioMedical Sciences from the Glasgow Caledonian University in the United Kingdom. She later received her Doctor of Medicine (in Alternative Medicine) from the Open International University for Complementary Medicines. Currently, she is among five global hydrotherapy speakers who are eligible to impart knowledge on an international platform for thousands of participants.

As a bio-medical scientist, she has experience in diverse research activities gain knowledge in many different fields of research through academic and work-based exposure. Recent research activities involve the study of the SARS-Cov2 virus to identify its impact on the pancreas and digestive tract by testing blood samples of Covid-19 patients with a group of scientists in Sri Lanka and also published a scientific paper on probable virus functional sites.

In 1998, I was attached to the Faculty of Medicine Colombo, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and involved in research activities related to Molecular Biology in identifying and detecting gene mutation in breast cancer patients in Sri Lanka.

Added to the other skills, she enjoys being a lecturer educating students on treatments with water and herbal medicine.
